Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane can't wait any longer to see his former prodigy Percy Tau play in the UEFA Champions League.
Tau will potentially have the opportunity to face European super club Real Madrid as his team, Club Brugge, play at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium on Tuesday.
Tau missed out on Brugge's last Champs League fixture and Mosimane would be happy for Tau to even just experience one minute on the pitch in Madrid.
SowetanLIVE reported that Mosimane takes pride in his contribution to Tau's move to Europe.
Mosimane said, “He has been looking to play at big clubs like Real Madrid and I am happy that we contributed to his dream."
The Brazilians' mentor compared Tau's story to that of other African soccer stars.
He added, "It is like the stories of Sadio Mané or the Mo Salah‚ but he is one our own.”
Mosimane is also optimistic that Tau's performances will open doors for other young South African players.
Briefly.co.za gathered that Mosimane values player development, albeit at the expense of the local clubs.
