The famous phrase “hell has no fury like a woman scorned” is so applicable to Busiswe ‘Cici’ Twala at this moment. She has come out like a raging bull against Arthur Mafokate with regards to their disreputable abuse saga. The singer is now going after his label, 999 music.
To refresh your memories, in 2016 at the Metro FM Music awards Cici won Best R&B singer and Best Styled Artist – awards that should have paid her out R200 000.00 in total. Arthur allegedly used R150 000.00 and failed to pay Cici back.
Briefly.co.za learnt that word on the street and according to Sunday World, is that Cici’s mission to recuperate monies that were not paid to her when she was signed to Arthur’s label.
With Cici been Arthur’s girlfriend and artist, when their relationship got rocky it made everything fall apart. The reason for Cici ending the relationship was due to the Kwaito legend allegedly physically abusing her. She filed a lawsuit against him in 2017.
The case has been heard in court and Arthur was acquitted of assault charges. Even though the case is over it’s not the end for Cici. She is firing on all cylinders and going after the money she claims she is owed.
Sunday World stated that Cici has in the interim obtained a provisional court order at the Johannesburg High Court in a bid to liquidate Arthur Mafokate’s record label.
Arthur feels that Cici is doing this to hurt him by liquidating the company, not to get her money back. The Kwaito legend refuses to go down this road with Cici again and is doing everything in his power to put an end to this once and for all.
