- A social media user created one meme to embody the essence of Mzansi
- The video goes through the 26 letters of the alphabet, with each letter representing a magical South African moment
- The collage included great variety as some old school ads were featured, as well as more recent events
A creative social media user may just have designed one meme to rule them all.
Facebook user, Dolph, shared an epic video in June and it eventually went viral. In typical Throwback Thursday fashion, Briefly.co.za decided to relive the clip today.
The humorous video is essentially a video montage of some of Mzansi's most memorable moments.
The video starts off with the letter A and goes through each letter of the alphabet and finally ends with the letter Z - which features the three elderly ladies who called for Zuma to gooooooooo.
What stands out is the fact that the clip pays homage to some classic ads and videos, such as the 1980s Cremora ad and Leon Schuster's theme song.
However, a nice balance is maintained through the addition of recent events, such as the "you touch me on my studio" news clip and an unforgettable Jacob Zuma blunder.
The post attracted more than 1 700 comments and it seems that many are cherishing the trip down memory lane.
Jill Hallett commented, "The Z... Gogos are famous again. So funny. Glad we made people laugh."
Peter Solomons said, "L is for listen properly. Well orchestrated."
Liam Coulson responded, "Mad Respect to the creator of this."
Thesigan Naicker added, "Yoh credit to whoever put this together."
Nicole Pottek said, "This is the best thing I’ve ever seen."
