A woman has shared a heartwarming story on social media about her gardener. Jomo started working for her family two years ago. The hardworking man has helped them transform their once-barren garden into something of a paradise.

Jacqualene Lapa‎ took to the 'ImStaying' group on Facebook and shared that Jomo once told her that he wanted to start his own garden service business. The Lapa family was moved to help him.

"We were fortunate enough to gift Jomo a lawnmower with the help of a dear friend Alet Rheeder. Jomo’s garden service was established and he was very busy during last summer."

They have also started teaching him other skills so he can sustain himself when business is slow.

"My husband asked Jomo in May this year why he doesn’t go home (Limpopo) to his family for winter. Jomo replied that we are his family."

A few weeks ago someone offered to donate a weed eater to Jomo.

"Thank you for all you do for us!!! We love you and your quirks very much."
