- A lovely pink and white rose has been named after former Public Protector, Thuli Madonsela
- Like its namesake, the rose is able to thrive in even stressful environments
- The flower was unveiled at popular rose farm, Ludwig's Roses' annual Spring Rose Festival
The most popular rose farm, Ludwig's Roses, have named a gorgeous two-toned pink and white rose after SA's former Public Protector, Thuli Madonsela.
The farm is known for naming lovely roses after famous figures and donating parts of proceeds to charities, as reported on by TimesLIVE.
Other famous roses include the orange Nelson Mandela rose and the red Archbishop Desmond Tutu rose.
The lovely pink Thuli Madonsela rose was baptised at the Ludwig's Roses 48th yearly Spring Rose Festival that took place in Pretoria.
Briefly.co.za gathered that the flower has been in development for 6 years, and much like its namesake, it can thrive in stressful situations - it grows vigorously.
Money from every Thuli Madonsela rose bush sold at the festival will be donated to the professor's foundation, the Thuli Madonsela Foundation.
