Lamiez Holworthy is a long way from having to pick between electricity bills or headphones and DJ Fresh is here for it.

Fresh paid the house queen her dues recently in a sweet post to social media, saying:

"When she was 10 years old her moms bought her #FreshHouseFlava1!! We now play the same gigs! So proud of you Lamiez Holworthy #SpringFiesta2019."

Holworthy appreciated the gesture replying that she appreciated Fresh:

"I love and appreciate you so much. Thank you!!!"

Briefly.co.za gathered that Holworthy's journey to where she is now was by no means an easy one.

Sharing her experiences and her family's undying support Holworthy revealed some details about her struggle:

"From taking me 2gigs in a SECURITY VAN when I just started DJ’n-to my mom having 2choose between paying the electricity bill or buying me a pair of headphones(she chose the latter) 7 years later n look at me @liveamp presenter and a pretty dope Dj too. I owe all that I am 2these 2."
