- Ayanda Thabethe took to social media to pour water on rumours about her "engagement"
- In a very direct tweet, she slammed the rumour and made it clear that she is not engaged
- Fans were relieved and commented that there was still hope for some of them who were head over heels in love with the model
Media personality, Ayanda Thabethe, took to social media to rebuke the rumours of her so-called engagement after reports of her possible engagement did the rounds last week.
According to ZAlebs, the model is madly in love and has been sharing snaps of her lovecation in Italy with her man, whom is said to be businessman, Papi Rapolai.
Ayanda prefers to keep her personal life private, which is why she keeps her love life out away from social media and the press. This made it difficult to find out if Ayanda really was engaged.
The source who announced the engagement news told the Daily Sun that Ayanda wanted to protect her relationship from the media.
“Ayanda wants to protect her relationship from the media. A lot of people have been negative after you guys broke the story, also she wants to do things differently this time. She is tired of dating the glare of the media, Papi is a private guy and they both respect each other’s individuality.”
But the model and TV host took to social media to reassure her fans that she is not engaged. She tweeted: “I’m definitely not engaged, everyone calm down. Thank you. Have a beautiful weekend.”
Her message was quite the relief for many fans who are 'in love' with the celebrity. Some even tweeted how good it was to hear her say that she wasn't engaged, giving them hope once again.
Here are some of the comments from Ayanda's tweet:
Meanwhile, eight months ago, Briefly.co.za reported that Tino Chinyani was feeling the Valentines vibe. The handsome Mzansi celeb saw a chance with Ayanda Thabethe and he took it.
The gorgeous media personality had become single just in time to be swept off her feet by a fiery hunk like Tino on Valentine’s Day.
