- A woman resigned from her job as a funeral director
- Jasmine Seals from the UK could not handle the depressing job any more
- So, she followed her dream of 'becoming' a mermaid
A woman, Jasmine Seals, has pursued happiness by quitting her job to become a professional mermaid.
Seals, who hails from Basingstoke, England, worked as funeral director before becoming a mythical creature of the sea.
The 28-year-old was emotionally weighed down by constantly dealing with grieving families and she decided she needed a change.
Naturally, she opted for a career change. So, she quit her depressing job to pursue her dream of becoming a mermaid.
Briefly.co.za learned Seals trains twice a week to learn how to control her breathing by lowering her heart rate.
Her training helps her to perform underwater for longer periods of time, and Metro reported she can hold her breath for about two minutes and 35 seconds.
YOU reported Seals wears a dragon skin platinum silicon mermaid tail and bejewelled bras.
Clients pay about R1 800 an hour for the 28-year-old mermaid to perform at parties or events.
In one of her Instagram post, Seals shared a photo of herself dressed as a mermaid underwater, captioning it:
"The only place I feel truly at peace️. No dramas down here."
