Mzansi actress, Nandi Mbatha, recently shared how she has struggled with anxiety for a long time. The 22-year-old actress revealed that she realised the cause of her condition in 2009.
For those who don’t know, emotional and mental health problems such as depression and anxiety are closely related, however they differ in the impact and influence on the individual.
According to ZAlebs, depression is regarded as an internal consistent state of feeling below par, whereas anxiety is mostly regarded as a regular state of fear, restlessness and worry.
Nandi’s coping mechanism includes taking pills called Rescue Remedy three times a week, as reported by entertainment site, Celeb Gossip.
Nandi made her acting debut as Simlindile “Simi” Ngema on the soon-to-be-cancelled TV soapie, Isithembiso. But the level of fame she was exposed to has been an experience she still struggles with.
Another trigger that Nandi had to deal with is big crowds. The actress said she had to mentally prepare herself before going out to the shops.
“I don’t go to the shops without preparing myself mentally,” she told the publication.
On one occasion, Nandi suffered a sudden uncontrollable fear while filming a scene on a rooftop. But her colleagues were very understanding of her condition.
Nandi also added that her boyfriend’s calmness has had a positive impact on her and her anxiety disorder.
Meanwhile, three months ago, Briefly.co.za reported that Mzansi rapper, Tellaman, finally revealed who his celeb bae is and they look absolutely adorable together.
Tellaman shared through one of his songs that he's 'whipped' and his fans were super-curious to know just who the woman was that had him singing, 'Who can love you better?'.
Although the muso is keeping his private life... private, he did share the cutest snap of him and his bae recently.
