Football followers were glued to their television screens on Wednesday as the draw for the Telkom Knockout Cup took place.
Arch-rivals Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates avoided each other in the draw for the opening weekend's fixtures, but will both line up against teams from the Western Cape.
The Amakhosi face off against Benni McCarthy's Cape Town City, while the Buccaneers are set to face newcomers Stellenbosch FC.
Chiefs' fixture will see them travel to the Mother City whereas Pirates will host their match at Orlando Stadium.
The draw delivered a few mouthwatering contests as current champions Baroka FC will face cup specialists Supersport United.

PSL champions Mamelodi Sundowns will host AmaZulu in their encounter.
The cup commences on Saturday, 19 October with the last match of the opening weekend being played on the Monday.
