Mihlali Ndamase feels that 21st-century females have it all wrong when it comes to relationships. If your phone’s going to take priority over your boo, don’t cry when another girl takes priority over you!

Living in the public eye and seeing how young women do things, Mihlali decided to use her influence to shed a little light on some things and pass down some relationship advice.

Briefly.co.za learnt that Mihlali was a guest on the YouTube channel, Defining, where she had her say on falling relationships these days.

It was after a lady expressed her concern regarding the fact that her bae of five months had not made their relationship public that Mihlali set the record straight.

Mihlali told the stressed-out woman that she needed to give it a little more time; Rome wasn’t built in a day. She also made it clear that public status does not define a relationship and that people need to stop putting so much emphasis on it.

Relationships nowadays are based more on the opinion of others than the two people who are actually in the relationship. Mihlali feels that this is the reason so many relationships fail these days because you can’t please everyone, so start focusing on yourself.

Being a woman, Mihlali totally understands the need to be shown off and what it means when your man ain’t afraid to tell everyone about you, but she also knows that it’s not the most important thing, especially in the early stages.

“Yes I understand that you want to be shown off but it could get to that point, it’s still very early and a lot can happen in the next month. So, focus on the relationship, focus on your man, girl.”
