The point of the hashtag was to allow couples to let their partners know how happy they are and that they are loved.
Many tweeps started sharing photos and lovely words, and it must have gotten under the single peeps' skins because Briefly.co.za noticed that it didn't take long for another hashtag to start trending.
#SingleFlames saw Twitter users try to find their possible 'one true love' and they sent their messages of hope into the social media streets, crossing their fingers and hoping for the best.
