Bafana Bafana enjoyed a winning start under new head coach Molefi Ntseki after they beat Mali 2-1 on Saturday.
Following the Nelson Mandela Challenge victory, Safa president Danny Jordaan was particularly optimistic about the state of the team.
Jordaan lauded the players and even claimed that the national team is one of the best on the continent.
Jordaan said, “It was difficult but you stuck to it. You proved it yourselves that you are one of the best teams on the continent.”
The Daily Sun reported that Jordaan also shared some important advice for the players following the match.
The Safa boss cautioned the players on becoming arrogant and urged them to value the fans.
Jordaan said, “Now you saw the Tweets, they say now Molefi Ntseki will win the World Cup – that is South Africans."
