Sho Madjozi had a blast in America where she took to the stage at the 2019 AfroPunk Festival.

The crowd was ignited by Sho's amazing energy and she was blown away by how the people responded.

"Surrounded by strong, talented women for Afropunk Atlanta. We worked soooo hard and it was worth it!! When the whole crowd shouted Dji Dji Dji and when they did the punching cat! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!"

The festival took place on 12 and 13 October and the whole point was to celebrate African heritage and culture.

Briefly.co.za learnt that the weekend was filled with fashion, music and lots of fun.

Sho has been making South Africa so proud - she has bagged a BET Award and her track, John Cena, has gone global in a big way.

The song is so popular that it has been recognised in more than 70 countries already - and it doesn't look like that will be the end.
