A grateful elderly lady has taken to social media to thank a kind stranger for helping her recently. The woman had lost her parking ticket and forgotten where she parked. The stranger not only helped her negotiate a new ticket, he also helped find her car and pack the groceries in the boot.

Noelene Welch shared her story on the Facebook group "ImStaying". The woman was at Eastgate Mall in Johannesburg when she unfortunately misplaced her parking ticket. In addition, she had no idea where she had parked.

A man named Melaku came to her rescue. He helped her get a new ticket and find her car. The kind man refused any compensation for his kindness.

"You, dear sir are an absolute gentleman. Thank you for 20 minutes of your precious time to help this silly old lady. You will be blessed."
