Hospital surprises girl with matric farewell after she misses hers

A hospital made a young patient named Larisca's dream come true when they surprised her with a matric farewell. The teenage girl has cystic fibrosis of the the lungs and battles to breathe. The staff at Livingstone Hospital went out of their way to give the matriculant a beautiful ceremony of her own.

Photos of the event were shared on the SoFine page on Facebook. Larisca looked like a princess in her lilac gown. She also had a handsome date by her side.

Larisca is waiting for donor lungs to be available so that she can receive a lung transplant.

Social media users had encouraging words for the young girl and hospital team. Facebook user Marijane Schovell Schovell said:

"LORD please bless the staff of the Livingstone Hospital for this selfless gesture towards this sick girl for making this occasion for her so special, Larisca keep the faith, we all are praying for your healing, go well little girl."
