Woman begging for R2 to buy food gets blessed by Good Samaritan

A video circulating through social media has had a profound impact on South Africans.

The footage reveals how a poor woman approaches a man for R2 to enable her to buy something to eat.

Little did she know that the gentleman was none other than regular philanthropist BI Phakathi.

Phakathi empathised with the woman's circumstances and the pair went on a shopping spree.

An endearing moment plays out as the woman displays a clear reluctance to waste Phakathi's money as she opts for the essentials.

Phakathi urges her to fill up her grocery baskets and she eventually leaves the store with numerous essentials and even a few luxury items.

Phakathi then proceeds to bless her with some cash for good measure.

The Good Samaritan shared the beautiful video via his Facebook page and Briefly.co.za noted that it went viral, attracting thousands of responses.
