- Kaizer Chiefs star Khama Billiat is feeling the pressure with his team leading the Premier Soccer League (PSL) log
- The Amakhosi currently lead the standings, but Bidvest Wits and Mamelodi Sundowns have two games in hand
- Billiat prefers to lead the chasing pack, but admitted that it's stressful to maintain the position
Kaizer Chiefs endured a horrible season last campaign, but currently lead the PSL league table.
It's been a stunning turnaround by the Glamour Boys and the team must be thrilled by their current position.
However, Khama Billiat finds the whole situation very stressful.
Billiat said, “It’s stressful, because now we have to stay there, so it requires a lot of hard work, mental strength and to be professional as much as we can.”
KickOff.com reported that Billiat feels the pressure to keep winning, but that they'd still much rather be on top than chasing.
Billiat added, "Of course, we prefer to be on top. We want to be on top and challenge ourselves to stay there until the season ends.”
Although Chiefs have amassed 19 points, both Bidvest Wits and Mamelodi Sundowns are able to leapfrog them should they win both of their games in hand.
An early turning point could arrive in two weeks' time when the Amakhosi face Downs as it could be the match which sees the lead change hands.
