Rap lovers know that the beef between Jay-Z and Nas will go down as one of the greatest of all time.
The rappers have been going at each other for almost a decade long - it was two titans in the genre against each other and fans chose sides and remained loyal.
According to liveabout, things got so bad that the parents got involved. However, Jay-Z and Nas have put down the battleaxes and made friends.
Local musician, Kwesta, recently opened up about why he decided to take Nas' side during this historical beef.
Briefly.co.za gathered that Kwesta told fellow muso, Reason, that he actually grew up admiring Jay-Z because of the content he was giving.
But Nas got his support thanks to the beats and rhythms in his music. In the end, it sounds like Kwesta didn't really choose between the two - he just admired them for different reasons.
Check out this snippet from Kwesta's interview with Reason:
Speaking about beef: local rappers Cassper Nyovest and AKA have their own stewing pot going on.
For now, it doesn't seem likely that these two will make up and give fans an awesome collaboration ever.
