Mzansi muso, Cassper Nyovest, took to social media to send a shout out to one of his best friends, whom he credits for saving both his life and career, back in the day.
The rapper is not one to shy away from is humble beginnings. Cassper always talks about his come-up, keeping it real that he had a rather rough life before he became the successful rapper and business mogul that he is today.
Cassper posted a few snaps of his old friend, Nissey Sebago, and a little story about their friendship, as part of his birthday shout out to her.
“If you’re a true fan, you would know this story. About 10 years ago, I was evicted from my flat because I couldn’t pay rent and I was busy crying telling my friend what was happening in my life when she immediately says “no man Speesh, as she would call me, don’t cry my brother, come move in with me until you find your feet.”
Cassper went on to explain that his friend helped him without her father’s knowledge and so had to hide from him every time he would visit the flat for about a year. They would lock his bedroom so her dad wouldn’t know who lived there.
He said that his friend helped him out of the goodness of her heart simply because she loved him and believed in his dream.
“We became so close that people thought we were dating. Not once did she ever remind me of what she did for me, but when I hear her name, I feel like crying because she saved my life and my career,” said Cassper.

Meanwhile, two days ago, Briefly.co.za reported that Cassper Nyovest was so excited that an international star he looks up to gave him some recognition that he had to tell his fans on social media.
Mufasa has always looked up to Talib, so this nod of appreciation means a lot to him.
