This is our South Africa - one where people, of all races and genders are free to follow their dreams.
A young woman, Nezisa Sogoni, took to the Facebook group #ImStaying to share her inspiring story.
Sogoni is a poultry farmer who provides free range chickens and eggs to her community. In her post, the beautiful young lady revealed she started with only 10 chickens and now she supplies more than 300 each month.
"I am staying because I feed the nation. I provide free range chickens and eggs, I started with 10 chickens and today I supply 300 per month, I started with nothing but that didn’t stop me because I knew my dreams are valid and that if I am not willing to start small I can never start."
Sogoni, who said people can call her 'Babes we chickens', went on explain that she provides employment to underprivileged South Africans with her livestock business.
Sogoni had a message to other ladies who want to follow their dreams:
"To all fellow young women, I just want to say, nothing is impossible."
Sogoni is not the only woman making waves in the farmimg industry. Briefly.co.za previously reported on an inspiring lady, Tebogo Ditsebe, a businesswoman and farmer who managed to turn a neglected vineyard into a thriving success.
