- The EFF reacted to the return of load-shedding with a hilarious video
- Mbuyiseni Ndlozi shared the clip on Twitter and it gathered more than 51 400 views
- The video throws shade at Pravin Gordhan and President Cyril Ramaphosa
On Wednesday, South Africans woke up to news that load-shedding had returned. Briefly.co.za reported at the time that Mzansi was not very happy about Eskom leaving them in the dark once again.
On Thursday, the EFF national spokesperson reacted to load-shedding and he managed to throw shade at both Pravin Gordhan and President Cyril Ramaphosa.
Mbuyiseni Ndlozi posted a video the EFF made showing off their musical skills. The video is a Joshua Doore spoof with Pravin Gordhan as the "Uncle in the load-shedding business".
The video kicks off with a man singing to the 80s Joshua Doore theme song:
"You've got an uncle in the load-shedding business, Pravin Gordhan."
The song then adds "and Cyril", throwing shade at the South African president.
"Together as one, they turn off the lights," the song adds.
According to the Citizen, the EFF had dubbed Gordhan "Joshua Doore" a while back for supposedly resembling the balding, avuncular cartoon character.
The video quickly went viral, gathering more than 51 600 views in less than a day and South Africans were left in stitches.
