South Africans were divided over photos showing the poor living conditions of a family in Newcastle, KwaZulu-Natal.
On Friday, Twitter parody account Man's Not Barry Roux posted a couple of photos showing the living conditions of a family in Newcastle, KwaZulu-Natal.
The images show a deteriorated house that does not even have a door, Briefly.co.za gathered.
He captioned the post:
"We are in summer and there are people who live in this house in Newcastle."
The photos sparked a massive reaction and it left South Africans divided. Some felt heart-broken over the images.
Twitter user, @Tshidax61, commented:
"Heart breaking. If people had jobs. May God help them soon."
Another tweep, @molomemi, added:
"This is not the democracy our people voted for 25 years ago."
Other social media users pointed out that the majority of KwaZulu-Natal voted for the ANC and that because of that, they are responsible for their own downfall.
Social media user, @loratomaimane, commented:
"And the very same poor people will vote for the ANC. Tired of feeling sorry for them! I am good."
