Hero Rewarded with R20k After Coming to Rescue of a Woman Being Raped

Radius Masukume came to rescue of a woman in a hopeless situation, trying to face off against two men intent on raping her, without wanting a reward. He just wanted to do the right thing.

Briefy.co.za discovered that his heroic efforts were not easy, he suffered numerous injuries and almost became the victim. After being kicked to the ground a stabbed a number of times, Masukume refused to relent and put of a fight.

It was enough to get the attention of the police who came to the rescue. He is on the road to recovery and has received some great news according to News24.com.

The Facebook group, Keep the Energy, has set a target of R30 000 for the hero and has already passed the R20 000 mark.

South Africa needs more selfless heroes like Maskume.

Keep the Energy, a group that focuses on gender-based violence, has its hands full with trying to raise awareness for the plight of those who suffer the effects of gender-based violence and is happy to help a hero like Masukume and hopefully encourage more people to be inspired by his heroic efforts.
