- Adriaan Basson has released his new book, Blessed by Bosasa: Inside Gavin Watson’s state capture cult
- The BOSASA CEO has been accused of affairs, racism and even deceiving the ANCWL
- While Watson has passed away his legacy has managed to live on through controversy
News24 editor Adriaan Basson has released his tell-all book on the late BOSASA CEO Gavin Watson.
Briefly.co.za reported that Watson had died under suspicious circumstances in an accident outside of OR Tambo International Airport.
Now, Basson has revealed how the CEO bullied and insulted employees, gave his mistress a cushy job at the company and even deceived the ANCWL.
Despite portraying himself as a devout Christian and struggle veteran, Watson has been accused of leading a life far removed from this image.
Watson allegedly tricked the ANC Women's League into believing they owned BOSASA when the company was formed.
The notorious CEO is also accused of bullying and insulting employees, referring to some as 'k*****s', while his mistress enjoyed a massive salary from the company, The Citizen reports.
Nomvula Mokonyane, the former minister accused of enjoying financial bribes from the company, was apparently like an employee at the group, with other workers expected to stop everything when she made demands.
Lindie Gouws, allegedly Watson's lover, reportedly had an extraordinary hold over the CEO, who catered to her whims without question. However, Gouws denies the affair:
“The rumour was purposefully spread on the [Bosasa] campus that we had an affair. People have a perverted image [of our relationship]."
Angelo Agrizzi, the whistleblowing former employee, reportedly confronted Watson once, saying:
“I said to him, ‘You are having an affair, I’m telling you now. You are the only one who doesn’t know you’re having an affair. Everybody f*cking knows’.”
