According to Adam, while speaking to Christian-based media Apologia Studios, Kanye started visiting his church back in May this year and asked to share a testimony with the pastor weeks later.

The 42-year-old rapper and fashion enthusiast opened up to his pastor about feeling the weight of sin from his fame and the music industry.

The father of four went on to reveal that the devil had put him in a place where he felt he was in bondage to his sin and at one point considered giving up rap music altogether.

His pastor, however, convinced him to use his talent to serve the Lord and this eventually saved many of his fans from the turbulence of losing Kanye and his music.

Kanye has since been travelling the world, preaching and performing gospel tracks.

Briefly.co.za reported that Kanye also donated a large sum to charity in celebration of his wife, Kim Kadarshian's birthday this week.

On Monday, the 'rap god' also confirmed that his latest religious-themed album, Jesus is King, was set for release on 25 October.
