A homeless man has left many in disbelief after he revealed that he has not eaten in two days. In a video shared on social media, the man opens up about the hardships of living on the streets. Well-known philanthropist BI Phakathi heard his story and took him grocery shopping.
The man said his name is Victor and he lives on the streets. He told Phakathi that he hadn't eaten in days and would appreciate anything. He also mentioned that he would love to drink some Coke. Phakathi took him to the grocery store and told him to take whatever he wanted. The hungry man stocked up on food, including two bottles of Coke.
He told Phakathi that he was a qualified boilermaker. Victor also revealed that he has several injuries on his body and is in constant pain. He indicated that his legs had been broken several times including a recent ankle injury. Phakathi gave the man money to purchase medication to control the pain of his injuries.
Social media users were touched by the man's sad story. Facebook user Ruth Katzen-Jones said:
"It's so sad to see this, my heart bleeds for these people, it bleeds that they lost touch with family, no one really understand what or why this happens, many can judge and pass remarks. But then along comes a special person even just for a day to brighten their days. Phakati thank you once again you really always just there."

"Ever since I started watching your videos sir, it's all I want to do every time I switch on my data, my heart just goes wow, God bless him, God increase him. You're the true meaning of "love your neighbour as yourself". You're a tool of honour in God's hands. Am so driven to pay more attention to the needy in my circles and just to give unconditionally. God bless you sir. Your reward is unimaginable."
