- Mona and Khulu watched horrified as their home went up in flames on Sunday
- They managed to make it out alive, but what the fire took from them is irreplaceable
- The ashes of their late daughter, Amani-Amaza, were forever lost in the blaze
Mzansi actors Mona Monyane and Khulu Skenjana faced one of the most soul-destroying things that could ever happen to a person; they watched their home burn down.
There are many terrible things that can happen to a person, but watching your home - the place where you made memories - and all your most treasured possessions go up in flames, has to be one of the hardest.
Briefly.co.za learnt that the incident took place on Sunday. Both Mona and Khulu are just glad to have made it out alive and together.
Mona and Khulu managed to make it out of their burning home before anything bad happened but they unfortunately did not have time to gather their belongings.
Mona and Khulu are trying to find the positives and are trusting in God to show them the light. Having to say a final goodbye to Amani, and being forced to let go against their will, has hit the couple quiet hard.
Amani-Amaza passed away in Mona's arms just seven days after she was born. They named her Amani-Amaza Wamazulu Skenjana, meaning ‘The heavens have opened’.
