Former US president, Jimmy Carter, had a fall in his Plains, Georgia home on Monday (22 October) and is recovering in the hospital.
According to a spokesperson for the Carter Center, the ex-president is said to have suffered a fracture in his pelvis and was admitted to the Phoebe Sumter Medical Center for observation and treatment.
The spokesperson also noted that the former president is in good spirits and is looking forward to full recovery at home.
Carter was the 39th president and is also the oldest living president in American history.
