- The words Trevor spoke hit many right in the feels
Trevor Noah just trumped any comment, opinion and remark made about femicide and gender-based violence. His opinions on consent and toxic masculinity are deep.
Appearing on the Charlamagne Tha God's The Breakfast Club radio show on Wednesday, Trevor addressed many pressing issues with words of pure wisdom.
Briefly.co.za learnt that Trevor believes that everything about femicide and gender-based violence stems from toxic masculinity
Trevor explained how the way in which men see themselves in relation to women is a major contributing factor in what they would do to a woman.
Speaking on the topic of consent, Trevor outlined how toxic masculinity comes into play because, to men, rejection is seen as a failure. He says a woman declining to have sex with you is not a failure, it’s simply their choice.
Despite all the horror going on in the world, Trevor believes that the only way we will all get through it is if we stand together. Exiling certain groups of people is not going to solve the problem.
Social media gave Trevor a standing ovation for his moving interview and touching words.
