South Africans are doing their part in honouring Radius Masukume, the heroic man who risked his own life to rescue a woman from her rapists.
It's wonderful to see how South Africans can come together to help each other. After a heroic man suffered several stab wounds to his face while fighting off a 45-year-old woman's rapists, Mzansi pulled together to honour him.
Not even a week later, the amount has already more than doubled, reaching R48 470, and the aim is to raise a total of R100 000.
Masukume, 49, went viral after he tried to rescue a woman from two thugs, who had allegedly raped her in a field.
Without thinking twice about his own safety, Masukume charged them. His heroic actions not only prompted South Africans to raise money for him, but Masukume was also nominated for an SA Man of the Year Award.
Masukume did not want any recognition for his bravery because the father of six said he only did what he was raised to do.
