South Africa have done it! After a hard-fought match, in which Wales gave no quarter South Africa managed to win the day.
There were doubts at the beginning of the game as Wales put up a ferocious defence and South Africa struggled to win the kicking game in the air.
The referee Jérôme Garcès blew a fair game and the Welsh made every use of the advantages they accrued.
Briefly.co.za learned that in the second half, South Africa managed to score a try but Wales returned with their own try moments later bringing the score to a tie at 16-16.
South Africa managed to secure a penalty in the dying minutes of the game, which Handre Pollard effortlessly put over the posts.
Next week South Africa will face England in the finals and if the English Roses play as they did against New Zealand they might be lifting the Webb Ellis Cup.
Let's hope that South Africa bring their A-game next week and learn from their mistakes to make South Africa even more proud of them if that is at all possible.
Wales played outstanding and it really was anyone's game until the end, World Rugby is in a very healthy position with the level of competition.
