Veteran SA actor, Cobus Visser, passed away on 28 October, saddening the entertainment world.
Visser was well-known and admired for the roles he played in popular Afrikaans shows such as Binnelanders and Vetkoek Paleis, Mollie & Wors, Villa Rosa and Fiela se Kind
Briefly.co.za gathered that Visser's close friend, fellow actress Liz Meiring, shared the sad news on Facebook.
"Cobus Visser died early this morning. Thanks to everyone for the help and care. I hope he realises where he is now; how much South African audiences and the industry meant to him. My heart has a big hole. We've walked a long road together for 35 years. But he is freed. And that's all that counts."
It is not yet known what the cause of death was but according to Jacaranda FM, Visser had a history of heart problems.
