- Simz Ngema has been devoted to her late husband, Dumi Masilela
- Despite being strong and facing her sorrow head-on, Simz had a difficult time learning to live without her soulmate
- She is ready to let go now and paid a beautiful tribute to Dumi with the track Thanda Ngempela
Simz Ngema is ready to let go of 'the angel she used to know' - her late husband, Dumi Masilela.
It's been a tough journey for the singer and actress, and she admitted that she hit rock-bottom after losing Dumi in that botched hijacking.
But she is a strong woman and now she is ready to let go and (hopefully) find inner peace.
She is paying tribute to Dumi with Thanda Ngempela, a beautiful song brimming with emotion.
Briefly.co.za learned from TimesLIVE that Simz said it is time for her to stop holding on because it hurts.
"It has been a difficult journey and I feel it is time to let go, holding on is what hurts more.
"Losing Dumi two months after our wedding was worse than my worst nightmare and after he passed away, I was afraid that people would forget him. So I did everything I could to keep his memory alive."
Take a look at the video of the song:
It was reported earlier that Ngikuthanda Ngempela is Simz' latest single and is dedicated to her late husband but she says that this will be the last project in his honour, according to The Sun.
