- A woman, Nicole Visser, revealed her purse got lost after it fell out of her bag
- A dishonest man picked it up and decided he was going to keep it
- However, Bongani - an honest South African - saw what was happening and took matters into his own hands
On Tuesday, a woman, Nicole Visser, was on her way to work when she took out her wallet to give money to the man taking her kids to school.
Her purse then fell out of her bag and Visser did not even realise it. A passer-by spotted the wallet and decided to pocket it.
However, another man, Bongani, saw what was happening and instead of turning a blind eye, he helped Visser.
Bongani told the mother what had happened and he went on to pursue the man who stole her purse.
The Good Samaritan's bravery panned out and he managed to get back the wallet. Visser shared the inspiring story on the #ImStaying Facebook group.
South Africans thanked Visser for sharing the inspiring story and they applauded Bongani for his bravery and honesty.
Boingotlo Valentine Gabaatlhole commented:
"Thanks for sharing, this country needs more people like Bongani and you guys look like a couple. So cute."
Nqobile Zingaki Ngobese added:
"Wow, now I believe that #ubuntu is still in our country."
Hazel Blatch wrote:
"Thank you Bongani. We need more honest, upstanding young men like you!"
Briefly.co.za previously reported on a similar incident. A Good Samaritan returned a wallet after almost two years, with all of the money inside.
