Shekhinah to perform as open act on Toni Braxton's South African tour

Mzansi’s Shekhinah and DJ Hudson, have been chosen as supporting acts for R&B star, Toni Braxton’s South African tour next month.

The US singer is set to perform her “As Long As I Live” tour at two shows, in Johannesburg and Cape Town. She will grace the stage at the Ticketpro Dome in Johannesburg on 9 November and at the Grand Arena, Grandwest Casino in Cape Town on 12 November.

Since her stint on Idols SA, Shekhinah has established herself as a national treasure and become a household name after her 2016 hit single, ‘Back to the Beach’.

Shekhinah also featured on Black Coffee’s single, ‘Your Eyes’, and the Jesse Clegg single, ‘Breathing’, both in the same year.

According to Yomzansi, the mullti award-winning singer, has performed across the continent and has also collaborated with several international artists and local brands.

Her latest album, Rosegold, is currently the highest streamed album in Mzansi and is certified platinum too.

About seven months ago, reported that most Mzansi fans who attended the Ed Sheeran concert in Johannesburg earlier this year would agree that his second support act, Shekhinah, really killed it on stage.

Shekhinah added another amazing highlight to her music career following her performance at the fully-packed Johannesburg stadium as the supporting act for Ed Sheeran.

According to ZAlebs, ever since the 24-year-old stepped into the music scene, her life has been a rollercoaster ride of achievements. She has celebrated many milestones in her career already, including winning numerous awards and having her debut album, Rose Gold, reach platinum status.
