- Mzansi artist, AKA, has admitted during a press conference on Wednesday that he has been humbled by life
- AKA said that he is a "nicer guy today" than he was two or three years ago
- He credited the change due to him becoming a father
During a press conference for his AKA Orchestra Ethekwini concert on Wednesday, the muso reflected on his career so far, claiming he had been humbled by life and is now a much nicer guy than he was two or three years ago.
A video posted by Lindokuhle Mkhize from the event revealed that the rapper credited much of the change from him being a dad.
“I am a nicer guy today than I was two or three years ago. That is because I became a father and so forth. All the mistakes I have made have happened in public, I am under their scrutiny."
Supa Mega added that he doesn’t enjoy taking pictures with people and that he had been saved by music and the ability to put his emotions into his songs.
Not so long ago, AKA told TshisaLIVE that he had matured since his days of beefing with other artists like Black Coffee and admitted he was grateful for the growth.
“With me and Black Coffee there has always been like this… I don’t know what you want to call it… I think it is growth. I am a different person now than I was then. Back in the days.”
Last year AKA told fans that he went from being the most hated rapper in Mzansi in 2016 to one of the favourites.
“The love is overwhelming. Two years ago, I was the most hated person in this industry. Today I’m a king of the world. Always stayed true to myself though. Whether I was right or wrong,” he said.
A day ago, Briefly.co.za reported that Mzansi rapper, AKA, has graced the spring/summer GQ magazine cover.
This is huge for the rapper as GQ is one of the biggest magazine brands in the world. The article features AKA’s latest achievements.
The last artist to be on the cover of GQ magazine was AKA’s rival, Cassper Nyovest. Could it be a coincidence that even the outfits they wore on both covers look so similar?
