Nothing makes a dad more proud than to watch their son achieve greatness at an international level. Likewise, nothing could mean more to a son to earn a father's pride.

Siya Kolisi's dad flew all the way to Japan, his first international flight to watch his son make history.

It must have been a beautiful moment to watch his son lift the Webb Ellis Cup wearing the Springbok jersey.

Beyond that Siya Kolisi earned his 50th cap for the national team and made history as the first black captain of the Springboks.

Briefly.co.za learned that Kolisi almost didn't make it to the world cup, he suffered a serious knee injury in 2019 and was struggling with his form during the series against England in 2018.
