- Over the weekend, Mbuyiseni Ndlozi received backlash for his comment on the Springboks winning the #RWC2019
- The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) national spokesperson congratulated Siya Kolisi but dismissed the rest of the team
- Several news publications covered the story and Ndlozi has now slammed one of the journos who wrote about his comment
Mbuyiseni Ndlozi has fired shots at Stephen Grootes, an author who wrote an article about his "attempt to rain on the Boks' - and SA's - parade".
Over the weekend, the 34-year-old politician congratulated the Springbok captain, Siya Kolisi, on the win but he dismissed the rest of the team, telling them to go get their congrats from Prince Harry.
The comment sparked a massive reaction on social media and was soon picked up by several news sites.
Grootes penned an analysis for the Daily Maverick on Ndlozi's post "backfiring" on the EFF and it sparked a reaction from the People's Bae.
The EFF national spokesperson wrote:
"Little white boy creating a picture that it’s us vs. Siya. Perfect white supremacists strategy to appeal to black on black violence as a way to resolve a legitimate criticism of false racial unity in South Africa. He wants a Boipatong on us."
In another post, Briefly.co.za gathered Ndlozi went on the say that Kolisi lifting the World Cup trophy was an example of black excellence, not a picture of unity.
Ndlozi added in another tweet that the EFF will push "against efforts to pull a 1994/1996" on the people of Mzansi.
