Proudly South African: Mzansi shows love to the Soweto Marathon

The Old Mutual Soweto Marathon is still one of the most popular marathons in the country. It attracts huge crowds and things were no different this year. Thousands of runners gathered at the FNB Stadium to participate in what has become a South African tradition.

Hundreds more flocked to the streets to cheer on the participants. Soweto was lit with festivity. Most of the runners which enjoyed having the locals cheer for them. Social media users also took to platforms such as Twitter to cheer on the runners.
