AfriForum recently announced that it will be tackling the murder of Bafana Bafana icon Senzo Meyiwa. This has been well received by citizens, who still yearn for closure in the matter that has seen little advancements made towards justice.
Senzo Meyiwa's murder shook the nation to its core and the lack of justice thus far has weighed heavily on citizens.
Briefly.co.za reported that the Meyiwa family had approached AfriForum in a desperate bid to have justice served in the case that has lagged since 2014.
The lobby group is determined to see the justice system in South Africa run its course and bring those responsible to book.
The late athlete's brother Siyabonga Meyiwa commented on AfriForum's decision saying that:
"We are proud to be associated with AfriForum, that is willing to fight for the truth. I will not die before this is sorted. I don't fear anyone, I only fear God. We together with AfriForum want to honour Senzo by ensuring that justice is served, and his murderers are brought to book."
In response to the latest development in the case which has been slow to progress citizens voiced their approval:
