Mmusi Maimane congratulates Boks: "We win when we work together"

On Wednesday, Mmusi Maimane took to Twitter to share photos of himself with Rassie Erasmus and some of the Springbok players.

The former DA leader wrote an inspiring message to Mzansi and the Boks. Briefly.co.za gathered Maimane said the #RWC2019 win showed that if South Africans work together, the country can prosper.

The post read:

"Congratulations to this incredible team of South Africans. This is indeed not only a victory for the @Springboks but for our beautiful and diverse nation. We win when we work together. Let’s build an economy for all our citizens so we prosper together."

Maimane was so happy and inspired by the Springboks' win, he proposed that Ramaphosa make Monday a public holiday.

Social media users were loving the new vibe Maimane has brought since leaving the Democratic Alliance (DA).

Twitter user, @saloms_1465, commented:

"What's inspiring about this team is the humble beginnings they all came from, black and white, irrespective of people thinking the white ones are privileged."

Puo Innocent Khunou, who goes by the Twitter handle @787827puo, added:

"Indeed! Let's take this moment and be happy for the incredible achievement of our national rugby team! It really means a lot to some of us! We are proud and yes together we are capable of achieving what others may think is impossible!"
