Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane is not one to mince his words, but was even more bullish than usual.
Mosimane issued a warning to his rivals, following Sundowns' first league defeat of the season - at the hands of Kaizer Chiefs.
The Downs mentor played down the loss and cautioned his opponents to look at the bigger picture.
KickOFF.com reported that Mosimane cited the pattern from previous seasons.
Mosimane said, "We are going to fight for the PSL league. We fought for the league with them [Kaizer Chiefs] before and they gave it away."
He added, "Then came Wits and they gave it away. Pirates for the last years, they gave it away."
Mosimane also pointed to the Brazilians' excellent record over the past six seasons as they ended as champions on four occasions.
Sundowns will next need to navigate a tricky away trip to Baroka on Wednesday.
Briefly.co.za earlier reported that log leaders Kaizer Chiefs will travel to Chippa United ahead of the big Soweto Derby on Saturday.
