- The Lebo Mathosa biopic premiered last night and it did not go down as well as expected
- Peeps were not happy with the cast, storyline, production or even the premiere date
- Leaving Lebo's Boom Shaka days out was just a major no-no
The long-awaited premiere of the highly anticipated Dream: The Lebo Mathosa Story finally came and peeps had a lot to say about it.
Lebo was killed in a car crash east of Johannesburg in 2006. According to the Mail & Guardian, the driver lost control of the vehicle (a Toyota Prado) in which they were travelling on the N3 highway on the East Rand. The vehicle overturned between the Heidelberg Road off-ramp and Grey Avenue in Germiston. She died at the scene and the driver suffered minor injuries.
Briefly.co.za learnt that last night's premier went completely opposite to how most expected it to be – the criticism was real!
Viewers tore the first airing apart and slammed the production company on every single level. People were not happy with the cast, the execution and even the fact that they chose to premiere it on a Wednesday evening – angikho happy.
While there were a few who loved it, the majority were by no means impressed. Social media became a criticism board for displeased viewers.
The fact that Lebo’s Boom Shaka days were left out really ticked the people off – Boom Shaka made Lebo!
