Local rapper, Donovan Chad Mansoor, better known as Chad da Don, has social media users confused and a little suspicious.

Not so long ago, Chad was believed to be married and devoted to singer Kelly Khumalo and they were showing off with their 'perfect' relationship. There were even hints about them having a baby together, but now it seems the two are history.

News23 reported that Chad confirmed that they had broken up, but had nothing bad to say about Kelly.

"I’ve been through a lot and Kelly’s love was medicinal... things just didn’t work out and it’s all God’s will.
"We’re just different people with different beliefs. My heart feels sore but there is no pain God cannot cure. Kelly and I had a good run. We were blessed with a great time but now it’s over."

His latest show of love to his new bae, Carla Poggenpoel, was a birthday shout-out to her, but peeps aren't convinced that it's real.

"This @CarllaDon joined Twitter 2 days ago, this might be a PR stunt."

"Come to think of it... The whole focus of this account is Chad."

"Media stunts for the new mixtape."

"Why are they wearing shades in the tub? Inga inkosi inganathi."

"And who took the picture or maybe they set a timer?"

"He's about to release a project. This is a PR stunt bafethu."
