Sandra Moonsamy has been found alive after disappearing in May after being kidnapped out of her car.

TimesLIVE reports that the Hawks have confirmed an intelligence-driven raid had seen the Westville mother of two and financial director of Crossmoor Transport rescued from her captors.

The daughter of transport tycoons, Lutchmee and Poonsamy Naicker, had allegedly been kidnapped after being forced off the road by three vehicles in Pinetown.

Briefly.co.za gathered that the family had hired a private investigator to aid in the search for Sandra after receiving ransom requests.

The sole breakthrough in the case was the arrest of a 35-year-old Nigerian, Jerry Gike in July. The suspect had been found in possession of a cellphone belonging to the missing woman.

A source close to the investigation said the family hired a private investigator to assist after ransom requests were sent to them.
