The man who made a video ranting against the Springboks has spoken out to give his side of the story. His wife recently opened up about being bullied because of his comments. He has apologised claiming to have spoken out in anger.
A South African All Blacks supporter named Johan de Jonge made a video of himself dissing the Springboks during the Rugby World Cup. In the footage, Johan talks about how bad the team is and how they are no match for their rivals. The video went viral and many called him out for his comments.
Briefly.co.za reported that his wife publicly gave her side of the story claiming to be suffering bullying as a result of her husband's comments. She said that even her children had been harassed.
Johan also went onto Jacaranda FM to give an explanation for his behaviour. He said that he was angry but now feels bad. He further said that it was "a different Johan in the video".
The passionate supporter has been an All Blacks fan since 1999. He explained that he was not anti-Springbok but rather didn't expect them to win.
