On Thursday, Briefly.co.za reported on a viral video which shows a man proposing to his bae at a KFC outlet.
The video attracted a lot of attention and KFC South Africa asked for Mzansi's help in finding the lucky couple.
A social media user, who has been identified as @alphi_s, spoke to the newly engaged couple and he shared the news on Twitter.
The tweep revealed that the man, Mr Kansi, and his future wifey were looking to have a small wedding as their funds are limited.
He captioned his post:
"I just spoke to Mr Kansi re his #KFCProposal. He’d like to have a small event to celebrate his wife but budget is tight. We need a venue, dress, suit, cake and food. I can’t wait to MC this one."
Before long, South Africans started to plan the future Mr and Mrs Kansi's wedding celebrations and big brands like Audi, Total South Africa and FNB chipped in.
"These honeymoon destinations look far. Someone needs to drive them there. We got you."
FNB pledged R5 000 towards the happy couple's future and Sun City Resort offered to gift Mr Kansi and his fiancée with a weekend at their resort.
Total South Africa knows fuel can be expensive and they offered to "fuel their next adventure together".
