SA rappers mourn the recent, sudden death of Mzansi muso, Crazy Lu

- SA-born rapper, Crazy Lu, has passed away after reportedly suffering an asthma attack

- He died in Cambodia, where he was staying for the past 3 years

- South African music artists were left in shock after learning of the man's death

Former YoTV and Jozi member, Luther Crazy Lu Cohen, has passed away in the early hours of Friday 8 November.

TimesLIVE reported that the rapper's family has confirmed the tragic news, and he passed away in Cambodia, where he was living the past 3 years.

Marvin Cohen, the late muso's brother and an ex-producer at SABC 1's Live Amp, said:

"All we know is that he died at 3am this morning [Friday] from an apparent asthma attack. He's been an asthmatic his whole life. A year ago he fell into a coma from a bad attack."

The family will be heading to Cambodia soon.

Since the news of the rapper's death has broken, tributes to him have been pouring in. Former Jozi member as well, Da L.E.S, and other rappers have all expressed their sadness at the life that has been snuffed out.

Live Amp also sent their condolences to the grieving family.

"Our condolences go out to the family, friends and supporters of Luther “Crazy Lu” Cohen. Thank you for your influence in the SA hip-hop scene. @TheMarvinCohen your #LiveAMP is here for you."

Briefly.co.za gathered that Crazy Lu first burst onto the entertainment scene when he hosted popular kids show X-Attitude.

He then joined Jozi, along with Da L.E.S and Bongani Fassie. Now he leaves a hole in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
