Lebani Sirenje, better known to South Africans as Rasta, is an artist that the country just loves to hate.

His painting skill is always a trending topic when he decides to pick up his brushes and do portraits of celebs and politicians, alive and dead.

He now has South Africans in a tizz - he has promised to paint a couple that has become very popular and adored in Mzansi - the #KFCProposal couple.

This is not something that has the approval of peeps and they are asking Rasta to just skip this opportunity to show off with his unique painting style.

Briefly.co.za reported earlier that a man had proposed to his lady love at KFC and a video of the romantic moment went viral. The couple has been tracked down - Mr Kansi and his bride-to-be are SA's favourite couple.

Since then, support for their romance has come from all directions - big brands like Audi, FNB and Sun City Resort promised to help them make their special day happen.

On top of that, local artists such as Zakes Bantwini, Mo Flava, Sindi Van Zyl, Langa Muvaso and now Sjava have shared their interest in being part of the couple's big day by performing.

Needless to say, the couple has become a national treasure and people don't want Rasta's painting to ruin things.

Here's what some of them had to say:

"Don't do that Rasta, we ask as a country."

"No, Rasta your not welcomed by order @MbalulaFikile"

"Take a break rasta coz u always working so hard"

"Mara why Rasta man? Please don't spoil our excitement bro"

"No Rasta we don't need you. Please take a break. I can even pay you not to do it. Not this time Dzikama"
